The point of The Underworld and Fissure of Woe is that they're the endgame for PvE, while they prove challenging to clear out, and take a darn long time to do it aswell, you get pretty much 0 reward for the 1k you spent to go down there. It's ridiculous.

I actually don't think he is lying, I've heard of people (very few of course) doing that mission a few tiems over just to get the chance of the incomporeals to drop stuff for them.

I was in a 2-man run yesterday and accidentally gave my 500g entry fee to you rather than the monk I was running with

Kept wondering why he kept asking me for it and I was like..um...I already paid you!
Scrolled up and sure enough...You traded Mono the Monk 500 gold!

Anyway, back on topic. On the 2-man runs I've done (I play SS/SV N/Me) it's rare that I don't get at least one ecto drop. Got lucky yesterday and got 6 in 2 runs (one run we had about 8 drop which we split 50/50)

Last night in a three man trapper group.......I witnessed one of our party get 4 consecutive ectos from the first 4 groups. Insane. I was pissed to say the least. Nothing except glitched smites the rest of the run.

Coldfires have been glitched on trap runs sometimes as well... Everyone else on the map is fine if they move foward, as soon as I move foward they run in a huge aggro. Yay for Anet! Lol, it was only a one time thing, funny too.

On topic, Ecto isn't really hard to get.. You just have to have patience.

( You also have to know what to do and not to ask "zOmg what does this skill _____ do ?" AFTER you've paid and are in the UW.. Don't go into the UW with a bunch of angry party members ready to beat you to a pulp because you forgot a main skill.

i've had about 12 ecto's in my time , with the old 55 build, then i just gave up.........................like how do u expect to acauly get fissure armor without solo farming your as off 24/7 or ebaying.

Ectos are funny, just a few days ago I went to the UW with my 55 and guess what: 2 ectos dropped right from the first 5-10 aatxes.
There wasn't even the need to start with smites.

Running or buying and selling. The second is easy as you can just sit in la buying stuff and then resell for more. I have been offered 15>50 longswords req 8 for 50k which is a bargain and could sell for alot more. I lent someone 75k for a weapon which they sold for 400k

But to get the gold in the first place is kind of hard if starting from scratch.

I have been soloing / duoing UW for a loooooong time... and I have something like 74 ectos and 3 sapphires to show for it. Still don't know if I'll end up getting fissure... the 15k wanderers is so pretty

I have had super luck with my UW runs. I have only been farming the new tombs UW for about a week since I got my monk there I have only made about 6 runs and have got a ecto every run exept one that is a great record I got a ecto for my first three runs then on the fourth I didn't get one and on my 5th and 6th I got ecto also.last saturday I made 3 runs and make over 75k worth of gold and greens and also 3 ectos

I am sorry to say that you're wrong.
I've got on this last couple of months 3 drops from Coldfires and I've seen 1 (or 2) going to the other dude on the 2-man team.
I've been playing since launch, and although I admit it's very very very veryyyyy rare to get an ecto from a Coldfire, it does happen.

That being said, no, I don't advice killing Coldfires for Ectos.

It can happen - rarely - but it's not worth the time.

Some people get Greens (like me), some get Runes, some Ecto's, some Golds. Take ur farmin ass out somewhere else and make some money to by the things.

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed the nerf in UW. Before the last update when I would go down on my 2 man party in UW we always got atleast 1 ecto sometimes 2-3, but after the update I have found 2 ecto's in 12 complete runs ( Attaxes -> Smites). I don't know if it is just me or has other people noticed this too.

I might be wrong, maybe I have just had the worst luck ever.

ok...you have been soloing Uw for a while and only 74ecto, yet the monk in your avatar is wearing Fissure, don't steal other peoples credit that took them months(or money for ebay =P) to get, and you just sit back and claim you have fissure huh? real classy...
